On 20 September, 2024 Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Industry and Mr. Nattapol Rangsitpol, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, received PVC pipes valuing 1,000,000 baht from AGC Vinythai Top Executives led by Mr. Toasaporn Boonyapipat, AGC Vinythai Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors and PTTGC President, Mr. Nobuo Nakao, Director, and Mr. Worathep Lertwinyu, Executive Vice President. The donation was witnessed by Top Managements of Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand at the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, Bangkok.

As a leading PVC resin manufacturer and distributor in Southeast Asia, AGC Vinythai truly realized urgent and critical need in maintaining gravity-fed water systems for villagers who have been suffering from devasting flood in Terd Thai sub-district, Mae Fah Luang district, Chiang Rai province. The company believes that its donation will accelerate the damage recovery and all villagers will have fresh water for consumption as usual soonest.

On 2 August, top executives from PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (PTTGC) and GC Maintenance and Engineering Company Limited (GCME) led by Mr. Toasaporn Boonyapipat, PTTGC President and AGC Vinythai Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, paid a visit to Sakura project at MTP1 where AGC Vinythai top managements led by Mr. Tomotaka Yoshikawa, Managing Director gave them a warm welcome.

After being shared about the overview of Sakura project, the visitors were brought to construction area to learn about progress of the project explained by Mr. Koji Abe, Senior Vice President, Mr. Chokpinid Lomkamdee, PVC Division Manager and Expansion Project Division Manager, and Mr. Patarawat Pathomtuppmongkol, Project Manager of GCME.

This is the first time that the top executives of both companies visiting Sakura project which is constructing VCM and PVC plants. The new plants are expected to start up within mid of 2025.

On 17 May 2024, Mr. Tatsuo Momii, President of AGC Chemicals Company, and Mr. Tomotaka Yoshikawa, Managing Director of AGC Vinythai, extended their congratulation to Mr. Narongsak Jivakanun on his new appointment as CEO of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) at Energy Complex, Bangkok.

Mr. Narongsak is a successor of Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, who has been recently appointed to assume the position of CEO and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT). GC is one of AVT’s major shareholders, who holds 32.72% of the shares (as of 31 December. 2023,) and is a leading petrochemical manufacturer, who supplies ethylene to AVT for PVC production.
