เมื่อวันที่ 24 พฤษภาคม 2566 โรงเรียนชุมพลทหารเรือ, โรงเรียนพลูตาหลวงวิทยา และบริษัท เอจีซี วีนิไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ร่วมจัดพิธีลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือระหว่างองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดชลบุรี, โรงเรียนชุมพลทหารเรือ, สำนักงานทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่งที่ 2, มูลนิธิรักษ์ปะการัง โดยความอุปถัมภ์ของบมจ. เอจีซี วีนิไทย และ บริษัท เอจีซี วีนิไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) ในโครงการ“เอจีซี วีนิไทยร่วมใจปลูกปะการัง ในพื้นที่เกาะเกล็ดแก้ว”
On Tuesday, January 17th, 2023, at 09:09 a.m., AGC Vinythai Public Company Limited marked an auspicious time with groundbreaking and first pile driving ceremony for the construction of its expansion projectat Map Ta Phut 1 Plant, so called Sakura project. The ceremony was held with aims at bringing good luck on proceeding the project successfully and safely as well as greatly boosting morale of Sakura project team members and respective business partners.
Mr. Kazuaki Koga, Managing Director of AGC Vinythai, presided over the ceremony among management team and employees led
by Mr. Satoru Miyatake, Plant and Technical Director and Mr. Tomoyuki Kaneko, Deputy Director – Expansion MTP1 and MTP2.
The Management team of JGCME, the business partner, led by Mr. Kenji Ito, Sustainable Solutions President of JGC Co., Ltd. and
Mrs. Wilawan Songjaroen, Managing Director of GC Maintenance and Engineering Co., Ltd. also participated in the ceremony as
One Team.
The start of operation is scheduled in the 1st half of 2025 with the capacity of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) are increasing by 400,000 tons in order to serve growing demand of PVC both in domestic markets and Southeast Asian markets.
It has been 20 years already that AGC Vinythai Coral cultivation Project being carried out; however, this is the first time that the project was established in the Southern area. The MoU signing ceremony was successfully organized and chaired by Mr. Visa Pulsirirat, Chumphon Governor and Mr. Piyapong Chuwong, Phang-Nga Vice Governor, respectively. “This MoU shows strong cooperation among the public, governmental sector, educational institute and private sector in driving sustainable development for marine and coastal resources where are sources of food, learning centre and generating jobs and income from eco-tourism,” Mr. Worathep Lertwinyu, Executive Vice President of Corporate Planning of AGC Vinythai said.

It is again that Vinythai Plc (Now is AGC Vinythai Plc.) was honorably granted Sustainability Disclosure Recognition Award 2022 from Thaipat Institute, a well-known public-interest organization who promotes sustainability and social responsibility to private companies. Mr.Worathep Lertwinyu, Executive Vice President, Corporate Planning of AGC Vinythai Plc. had joined the ceremony to receive the award from Mr. Woranat Piantham, Director of Thaipat Institute at the Auditorium of Bangkok Art & Culture centre.
Vinythai has been received this award for 4 consecutive years since 2019.
