February 27, 2025, Congratulations to AGC Vinythai’s Map Ta Phut Plant 2 in receiving the Outstanding Halal Award 2025 (Honor) from the Central Islamic Council of Thailand. The plant has been granted this award for 3 consecutive years. Organized by The Islamic Council of Rayong Province and Halal Affairs Department, the “17th Halal Rayong Awards 2025,” was held at the Soi Phet 2 Room, Golden City Rayong Hotel, Rayong Province.
Mr. Dol Rattanarak, Plant Manager – MTP2, attended the ceremony to receive the award from Mr. Prasit Mahamad, Secretary to the Chularajmontri. This award could demonstrate Map Ta Phut Plant 2’s strong commitment to compliance with halal standards in its production process.
AGC Vinythai Public Company Limited, a leading manufacturer of chlor-alkali, PVC and Epichlorohydrin and BIG, a climate technology company, have signed a cooperation agreement to supply low-carbon nitrogen and low-carbon oxygen through a pipeline network in the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate, Rayong Province. These gases will be used in the sustainable production of Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM). The project is expected to commence within 2025.
This cooperation marks a significant step for both companies in their joint efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It also showcases the application of BIG’s Climate Technology, utilizing low-carbon industrial gases in the industrial sector to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, a pressing concern across all industries. Furthermore, this partnership underscores the support to Thailand’s target in reducing greenhouse gas by 30 percent from the projected business-as-usual level by 2030 and achieve net zero by 2065. The adoption of low-carbon nitrogen and low-carbon oxygen in the production process will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from AGC Vinythai’s operations.

Apichart Kijjaroenvisal, Executive Vice President – Special Assignment of AGC Vinythai Plc, added, “The Sakura projectinvolves the expansion of PVC and VCM production capacity at AGC Vinythai. It is driven by the projected growth of PVC markets in Southeast Asia due to the expansion of industries and infrastructure. The use of low-carbon gases in the production process will make our products more environmentally friendly and meet the demands of customers who prioritize sustainable products.”
Piyabut Charuphen, Managing Director of BIG, stated, “This collaboration reflects the commitment of both companies to building a sustainable future. The supply of low-carbon gases through a pipeline network will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, lower transportation costs, and enhance production efficiency for our customers. This aligns with BIG’s business strategy of ‘Generating a Cleaner Future’, which focuses on providing low-carbon industrial gases to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across industries.”
December 12, 2024 – AGC Vinythai Public Company Limited was honored the 22nd Thai Chamber of Commerce Business Ethics Standard Test Awards 2024. The event, under the concept of “Restoring Trust through Ethics”, was organized by The Thai Chamber of Commerce Anti-Corruption and Ethics Promotion Committee. It is again that AGC Vinythai Plc. was honorably granted Sustainability Disclosure Recognition Award 2024 from Thaipat Institute, a well-known public-interest organization who promotes sustainability and social responsibility to private companies. Mr. Apichart Kijjaroenvisal, Executive Vice President – Special Assignment of AGC Vinythai Plc. had joined the ceremony to receive the award from Mr. Woranat Piantham, Director of Thaipat Institute at the Auditorium of Bangkok Art & Culture centre. AGC Vinythai has been received this award for 6 consecutive years since 2019.
The Sustainability Disclosure Awards 2024 evaluated member organizations that publicly disclosed their sustainability performance to stakeholders. The awards were categorized into three levels for Award, Recognition and Acknowledgement. AGC Vinythai was honored to be one of the 57 organizations receiving the prestigious Recognition award.
It is 14th year that AGC Vinythai and Noenphra municipality joined hands in promoting people’s good health by consecutively organizing a running race named “Noenphra – AGC Vinythai Mini-marathon”. Both male and female winners would be granted Princess Soamsawal’s trophies.
Over 3,300 participants gathered at the multipurpose yard of Mangrove Forest in Rayong Project, Rayong province, in the early morning on Sunday, 10 November 2024 to join an opening ceremony presided over by Rayong Vice Governor, Ms. Salareewan Tabtawee. Noenphra municipality management led by Mr. Boontham Yaikla, Mayor, and AGC Vinythai management led by Mr. Tomotaka Yoshikawa, Managing Director, jointly released runners at starting line.
Apart from running along the beautiful Sangchan beach, breathing fresh air, and having fun with family members and friends, Noenphra – AGC Vinythai Mini-marathon could contribute to community engagement and tourism promotion. The company also presented donation amounting 20,000 baht to Krokyaicha School and Anuban Rayong Wat Nongsanom School for supporting school meals.
