AGC Vinythai Plc. has recently received the Made in Thailand (MiT) certification for PVC resin.
AGC Vinythai is the first PVC manufacturer who was granted the MiT certification from The Federation of Thai Industries. The company is committed to supporting its customers in competing with imported PVC products and approaching the new market in government sector with concreate action.
On 17 May 2024, Mr. Tatsuo Momii, President of AGC Chemicals Company, and Mr. Tomotaka Yoshikawa, Managing Director of AGC Vinythai, extended their congratulation to Mr. Narongsak Jivakanun on his new appointment as CEO of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) at Energy Complex, Bangkok.
Mr. Narongsak is a successor of Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, who has been recently appointed to assume the position of CEO and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT). GC is one of AVT’s major shareholders, who holds 32.72% of the shares (as of 31 December. 2023,) and is a leading petrochemical manufacturer, who supplies ethylene to AVT for PVC production.

Because the collaboration in rehabilitating marine and coastal resources (Phase 3) since 2019 has been bearing fruits, all six partners which are Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, Rambhai Barni Rajabhat University, Aquatic Resources Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University, Coral Conservation Foundation supported by AGC Vinythai Plc. and AGC Vinythai Plc., jointly renewed the MoU for continuously expanding coral restoration on 29 March, 2024 at Sukhothai Hotel, Bangkok. The success of the collaboration could mitigate the loss of biodiversity, make a better living for locals in coastal areas from fishing and eco-tourism, and provide economic and social benefits to Thailand.
In the MoU, all partners agreed to give coordination in sharing knowledge and expertise for supporting local conservationists in coral rehabilitation and area management for conservation. It aims to conserve corals and ensure sustainable use of valuable marine resources. Moreover, all parties committed to raise youths’ awareness in marine and coastal resources protection. The MoU will be valid 4 years but reviewed every 2 years.
During past 5 years, AGC Vinythai Coral Cultivation Project (Phase 3) was expanded and established in 6 new coastal areas. They are Kood and Mak islands in Trat province, Sichang and Kledkaew islands in Chonburi province, Kai island in Chumporn province and Payam island in Ranong province. The company and its foundation truly realize that the key to success for this social project is strong cooperation among all partners in sharing knowledge, expertise and resources with great determination, dedication, and contribution.

Sustainability is not your business, but our business,” confirmed Tomotaka Yoshikawa, Managing Director of AGC Vinythai Plc.

To show AGC Vinythai’s commitment in sustainable development, the company greatly supported Krungsri Bank in Sustainable Deposit program. This product is a term-Baht deposit account for commercial and corporate clients with an explicit objective to use the deposited funds to finance the social and sustainable projects of Krungsri such as social loans for construction of school and hospital buildings or green loans for clean energy projects.
Therefore, on 15 March, Krungsri’s top executive team led by Mr. Bunsei Okubo, First Executive Vice President, Head of JPC/MNC Banking and Mr. Katsuhiro Nozaki Executive Vice President, Head of Division, Japanese Corporate Banking Division 1 visited to Bangkok office of AGC Vinythai for presenting a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Tomotaka Yoshikawa, Managing Director, and Mrs. Jamjuree Sirovetnukul, Director of Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Human Resources and Administration in supporting the Sustainable Deposit Program.
