AGC Vinythai Continuously Progresses Expansion Project by Organizing Groundbreaking and First Pile Driving Ceremony to Start Construction in Map Ta Phut 2 Plant

In order to serve growing demand of Sodium hydroxide (caustic soda) and Chlorine in both domestic and oversea markets, AGC Vinythai Public Company Limited progressively started a construction phase of its expansion project, so called RCA-5 project. The company marked
an auspicious time on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at 09:09 a.m. to hold a groundbreaking and first pile driving ceremony for RCA-5 project at Map Ta Phut 2 Plant, in WHA Industrial Estate, Rayong province.

In the event, management team and employees of AGC Vinythai led by Mr. Kazuaki Koga, Managing Director, Mr. Satoru Miyatake, Plant and Technical Director and Mr. Tomoyuki Kaneko, Deputy Director – Expansion MTP1 and MTP2 together with the management team and employees of TTCL, a business partner, led by Mr. Brett Lollback, Director, Vice President – Unit Operation Officer EPC Business Unit and
Vice President Operation & Maintenance Division, Mr. Somchai Charnsiripongse, Vice President-Project Execution EPC Business Unit and
Mr. Autthawat Boonyasakseree, Vice President Sales & Business Development participated in the ceremony with joy and spirit of One Team.

Moreover, it boosted morale and confidence of RCA-5 Project team members and respective business partners in achieving the goal,” said Mr. Somprasong Dechavichitlert, Vice President, Expansion MTP2.

Mr. Tomoyuki Kaneko, Deputy Director – Expansion MTP1 and MTP2 added “The start of operation is scheduled in the 1st half of 2025 with the capacity of Sodium Hydroxide solution is increasing by 220,000 tons and Chlorine gas is increasing by 193,200 tons in order to serve growing demand of Sodium Hydroxide and Chlorine both in domestic and oversea markets.”
